State Senate Committee Focuses on Work Furlough Inmates

A Senate committee looked into the state’s work furlough program for prison inmates today. The focus was on the increasing number of inmates who walk away from the program. HPR’s Wayne Yoshioka reports.

Wayne Yoshioka is an award-winning journalist who has worked in television, print and radio in Hawaiʻi. He also has been on both sides of politics as a state departmental appointee and political/government reporter.
