Ching Questioned for DLNR Spot

As we’ve been reporting this morning, the State Senate Committee on Water and Land spent all day yesterday considering the nomination of Carleton Ching to lead the Department of Land and Natural Resources.

At one point during the question and answer session, Senator Les Ihara asked Ching whether he could adjust from the corporate culture of his years of working at Castle and Cooke to a very different culture at DLNR.

If Ching is confirmed, his term would run through the end of 2018.

Bill Dorman has been the news director at Hawaiʻi Public Radio since 2011.
