Pahoa Home Video recently relocated to a larger space left vacant by Puna Style, a store that closed up shop in September because of the lava.

Business has been up for some local stores who are staying open, depsite the threat of lava cutting through the town. Branden, a barista at Sirius Coffee, says most days he can see smoke from the front window of the coffee shop.

19-year-old Arjuna Lozano recently purchased Pahoa Used Books from a former owner who was leaving town because of the lava.
