Why a Pahoa Bookstore is Staying Open

19-year-old Arjuna Lozano recently purchased Pahoa Used Books from a former owner who was leaving town because of the lava.

The lava flow creeping through P?hoa continues to remain active, claiming its first residential home earlier this week. Many residents have already packed up and left the area, but as HPR’s Molly Solomon reports, some businesses have chosen to stay.
