This week on Helping Hand we’re learning about a special event Saturday relating to ALS and ALS Research. At the event, Dr. Justin Ichida, an Assistant Professor of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine at USC, and an ‘Iolani School grad, will be the keynote speaker, discussing his research and efforts in partnership with The ALS Association Golden West Chapter to bring a research project to Hawai'i. All Things Considered Honolulu Host Dave Lawrence speaks with our returning guest, Fred Fisher, President and CEO, of the ALS Association Golden West Chapter.
Helping Hand is a weekly feature on HPR1 stations every Friday afternoon at 5:30pm and online here. Each week, Helping Hand puts the spotlight on an organization, topic or event in the community that offers assistance to the disabled and other folks who are among the most vulnerable.
