International Market Place will celebrate the popular Japanese shopping event, Fukubukuro, over two days in the heart of Waikiki. On New Year’s Eve (December 31, 2021) and New Year’s Day (January 1, 2022), shoppers will be able to purchase a “lucky bag” filled with contents valued at half the retail price at participating stores. As an added bonus, shoppers can receive a gift card with the purchase of each Fukubukuro bag. Both available while supplies last. Shoppers can bring their Fukubukuro bags and receipts to Customer Service on Level 1 to draw from hundreds of dollars in gift cards, merchandise and more. Maximum five gift cards per person.
