Born and raised on the beautiful island of Maui, Shane developed a passion for music at a young age in church. He was influenced by the vibrant sounds of reggae and traditional Hawaiian music that filled the air at the time, shaping his musical journey.
Shane's music career took off as he became a well-known musician and DJ for KPOA and now its program director. His unique blend of reggae and Hawaiian music resonated with audiences, allowing him to carve out a niche in the Island music scene. In 2024, Shane was honored with the prestigious Na Hoku Hanohano Award for Most Promising Artist, recognizing his talent and contributions to the Hawaiian music industry.
In late December 2025, Shane will release his highly anticipated new album, which showcases his growth as an artist and includes a variety of collaborations with some of Hawaii’s best musicians. These collaborations span both the reggae and Hawaiian music genres, highlighting his versatility and commitment to honoring the rich musical traditions of his homeland.
Aside from his musical endeavors, Shane is passionate about giving back to his community. He frequently participates in local events, using his platform to promote Hawaiian culture and environmental awareness. Through his music, Shane aims to inspire others to appreciate the beauty of Hawaii and the importance of preserving its unique heritage.
