Motown Valentines: A Big Band Live Tribute to Motown Era Hits
The soulful R&B jams of the 60s will be recreated with an epic 10-piece live band, the Powerhouse Horns and 15 of Honolulu’s fiercest soul singers, including local stars Paula Fuga and Tavana, American Idol finalists Big Mox, Na Hoku Hanohano Award winner, Yoza, local favorites, Kahnma, Melodie Soul, Keith Batlin, Riya Davis, Melissa Diallo, Noah Ilalaole, Praise Jesus Artis, Keahi Delovio, and Evan Khay. Under the direction of Mark Lindberg & Paul Nelson, we will be rolling out Motown-era classic hits like Aretha Franklin’s “Respect,” Sam Cooke’s “Cupid,” and "Dancing In The Street" from Martha Reeves and the Vandellas.
An original opening set will be provided by Blues-Rock band Kings of Spade.
