Mid-Pacific Institute Presents “Into the Woods”

Mid-Pacific School of the Arts (MPSA) presents “Into the Woods”

Directed by Linda Johnson, MPSA Theatre Program Head

Friday–Sunday, November 14-16 & November 21–23

Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m.

The Mid-Pacific School of the Arts is thrilled to present Into the Woods, a witty, heartfelt, and hauntingly relevant musical by James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim. With its Tony Award-winning score and book, this modern classic explores what happens after “happily ever after.” The story follows a baker and his wife desperate to break a witch’s curse, Cinderella yearning to attend the King's festival, and Jack hoping his cow will finally give milk. As their wishes come true, the consequences unfold in unexpected and often darkly comic ways. A rich blend of humor, fantasy, and emotional depth, Into the Woods offers a thrilling experience for audiences.

Mid-Pacific School of the Arts offers students the opportunity to study under the direction of expert Mid-Pacific instructors from stage and screen who are noted professionals in their fields. The school offers pre-conservatory level programs and intensive arts training in Dance, Film, Hula, Instrumental Music, Media, Musical Theatre, Theatre, and Visual and Digital Arts. The arts are an integral part of the Mid-Pacific experience. Students of all levels are exposed to arts education because we believe the arts are as much a part of an individual’s development and success as they are a part of a meaningful and enlightened society.
