In keeping with its mission of creating a sustainable food system, Kokua Market kicks off a monthly series to connect the public to the farmers producing our food. Paul Reppun, master farmer and sustainability advocate, will share his mana'o on growing, preparing and eating taro, and have fresh poi and taro on hand. Fellow Waiahole farmer Lia Jacobsen, of Kaia Papaya's Plants and Produce, will bring her local plants and produce including ulu and noni leaf teas, and offer cold ready-to-drink elixirs of lemongrass mint, rosemary and lemonade and fresh coconut water and noni leaf iced tea.
