HOST Park's Talk Story: Ocean Conservation

HOST Park's Talk Story: Ocean Conservation
HOST Park’s “Talk Stories” series is emerging as a dynamic forum for community outreach and engagement, fostering intimate conversations and direct connections between our innovative tenants, industry leaders, and the broader public on critical topics shaping Hawaii’s future.
This Talk Story is about ocean conservation. The ocean is vast, covering over 70% of the Earth’s surface, yet it faces immense challenges.
Come join us as we hear from experts on what is being done to help protect, restore, and understand our vital marine ecosystems, from cutting-edge research to on-the-ground efforts right here in Hawaiʻi and beyond.
Featuring Ke Kai Ola, The Marine Mammal Center; Terraformation Hawaii, ‘Ako’ako’a Reef Restoration, Dr. John H.R. Burns of UH Hilo and the Kona Salt Farm, this relaxed version of talk story allows multiple breakout groups, each led by one of our featured experts and allows visitors to explore different facets of ocean conservation at their own pace.
It’s an intimate and non-committal opportunity that allows visitors to learn and ask questions.
