Hawaiʻi Construction Hike for Hope
Hawaiʻi Construction Hike for Hope
Construction Hike for Hope shines a spotlight on promoting hiking, exercise, self-care, enjoying nature, and building community. Everyone can hike anywhere, anytime, all month long.
The goal of this hike is to raise awareness about suicide prevention and improve the mental health of construction workers through effective suicide prevention education, intervention and postvention strategies. We want to encourage, equip, and empower mental health champions in the workforce.
We have a special focus on construction workers, who have the highest rates of suicide in the US. To kick-off Construction Safety Week, we're planning a community hike on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 'Aiea Loop Trail.
We invite you to join a team or create a team, and come hike with us!
