April 16th Free Brown Bag Talk on “Emotional Intelligence Skills for Sustainable Resolution”

The non-profit Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center will host a free talk on April 16th as part of their “Finding Solutions, Growing Peace” Brown Bag Lunch Series. Talks are Third Thursdays from 12 noon to 1 pm via Zoom.

The April speaker is Sabra Della Lucia on the topic “Beyond Mediation: Emotional Intelligence Skills for Sustainable Resolution.”

“When conflict is complex, resolution calls for more than good intentions and well-crafted agreements,” says Lucia. “Let’s examine how self-awareness, self-management, and social awareness influence communication, judgment, and relational movement during mediation.”

In this talk, we’ll explore a “Therapeutic Mediation” framework, which integrates emotional intelligence as a core competency and skill.
