Foster Garden Docent Training

Foster Garden Docent Training

Join our 6-week course and master the art of engaging guests on introductory-level tours. Docent-led tours have been scheduled at 10:30 am daily and are anticipated to start in January 2025. Days and level of participation are flexible to fit your weekly routine!

SEPTEMBER 25 - OCTOBER 30
Wednesdays from 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
(Participants must attend all 6 sessions)

Major topics include:
• Garden Introduction
• History of Foster Garden
• The Docent Experience
• Trees & Plants of the Historic Terraces
• Palms of the Garden
• Significant and Exceptional Trees
• Orchids, Conservatory, & Butterfly Garden

Requirements: passion, curiosity, dedication, and a love of life-long learning Botanical knowledge is a plus, but enthusiasts and voices of all kinds are welcome.
