Matthew H James presents “Fading Feeds”. Fading Feeds is a reflection of Hawai’i through the lens of social media.

Since moving to the mainland much of my experience with Hawai’i as a contemporary culture comes through my social media feed. The juxtaposition of Hawaiʻi and comment sections on social media creates a dynamic expression deep seated with cultural subtleties. These paintings capture my experience of Hawai’i from a distance.
