The Big Island Art Fair returns to Kahilu Town Hall in Waimea from December 11-13th, 2025, offering the community a chance to not only purchase local art but to participate directly by voting in a Fair sponsored art contest. The three-day event will showcase approximately twenty local artists daily and feature live demonstrations.

A central feature of the Fair is the "Celebration" art contest where local artists are invited to demonstrate what Celebration means to them. Visitors to the fair are encouraged to view the submitted artwork and vote for their favorite pieces. The contest will conclude with cash prizes being awarded to the winning artists on Saturday afternoon at 3:00PM.

The event provides an opportunity for patrons to connect with artists and witness their creative process firsthand through a series of demonstrations:
- Craig Ciulei : Pencil and Colored Pencil Drawing - Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
- Shannon Guzzo: Seed Bead Weaving - Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
- PuaMaka Müller: Wood/Gourd Burning - Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
- Lorrie Taylor : Neurographic Workshop - Thursday, Friday, and Saturday

The fair will feature a wide variety of media for sale, including acrylic and oil painting, mosaics, ceramics, jewelry, digital art, photography, and more. On Thursday and Friday, food vendor Mochinga Hawaii will be on-site offering authentic Greek cooking, including fresh spanakopita and Hamakua macadamia nut baklava. On Saturday the Waimea Arts Council will be sponsoring a free Family Art Project from 10:00AM until 3:00PM. Keiki and all ages are welcome!
