Bowling for Soup
Bowling for Soup
Easily the 9th greatest pop punk band in history, Bowling for Soup started in 1994 in Wichita Falls, TX. After relocating to Denton, TX in 1996, the band spent years in the van, playing to anyone that would listen. In 2000, the British found humor in “The Bitch Song,” and Bowling for Soup were off to the races. Massive world-wide hits such as “Girl All The Bad Guys Want” (Grammy nominated in 2003), “1985,” “Almost,” and “High School Never Ends” were soon everywhere and the band even found it’s way on to the big and small screens with theme songs for Jimmy Neutron and Phineas and Ferb. BFS have just celebrated 30 years as band with a sold out tour of the US, UK and Australia that also celebrated 20 years of their biggest album A HANGOVER YOU DON’T DESERVE. In early 2025, after 30 plus years, co-founding member and guitarist Chris Burney announced his retirement from the band due to on going physical and health concerns. Lead singer/ songwriter Jaret Reddick, drummer Gary Wiseman and bassist Rob Felicetti have carried on as a 3-piece and insisting, “you can’t replace a legend.” Bowling for Soup have an upcoming LIVE acoustic album entitled STOKED ON TRENT. Also in the pipeline is a pop punk covers album and, yet another live album recorded in Manchester, UK during the 20th anniversary of Hangover tour! BFS are active on social media and are continuously releasing new music and video content. They are also known as an exceptional LIVE band and very nice fellas.
