Art Exhibit: Hoʻ'opuka: To Emerge the love of hula
The new Downtown Art Center is the venue for an upcoming exhibit of 11 artists honoring hula from August 3-28. Hoʻ'opuka: To Emerge the Love of Hula is being curated by renown photographer Floyd Takeuchi XX and features his large scale photographs from a recent book of hula dancers. The exhibit presents a “show within a show” featuring a range of hula related work by John and Kate Kelly from the Estate Collection.
