US Treasury Secretary Talks Trade, Hawai‘i

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew made a quick stop in Hawai‘i on his way back from the G-20 Leaders Summit in China.  Lew spent Labor Day in Honolulu—where he held a roundtable discussion with some local business and community leaders.

The group included CEO’s from First Hawaiian Bank and Alexander and Baldwin to the Queen’s Health Systems and the O‘ahu Economic Development Board, as well as the President of the University of Hawai‘i and the head of the Chamber of Commerce Hawai‘i, among others.

The Treasury Secretary also made some time to speak with HPR—and he talked about what he heard at the roundtable.
