The summer art season is underway with a “Paniolo Country” exhibit at HuiNo’eau in Makawao and the annual Mamo Native Hawaiian arts show at the Bishop Museum.   Just off King Street near Keeaumoku, Cedar Street gallery is showing sculptures by an emerging artist and paintings by an artist who has built a following under the radar.  HPR’sNoeTanigawa reports.

"Where You Find It:  Jon Hamblin and George Newton" continues at Cedar Street Galleries through June 15th.  Click here for a look at more images in the show.

Noe Tanigawa covered art, culture and ideas for two decades at Hawaiʻi Public Radio.
