The Sogetsu School of Ikebana opened its Hawai’i branch fifty years ago, and commemorations are underway this month.  A master sensei from Japan will do a floral performance that is already sold out, but HPR’sNoeTanigawa offers background on the big floral exhibition open to the public this weekend.

Sogetsu Hawaii’s 50th Anniversary Exhibition, “50 Years of Flowers” runs Friday through Sunday this weekend, May 23-25, at the Honolulu Museum of Art School.  The exhibit is free and all are welcome.
