Jazz After Hours with Jim Wilke joins nightly jazz lineup

Starting tonight Jazz After Hours with host Jim Wilke joins our nightly jazz line up.  Jazz After hours will be aired Monday through Thursday from 10pm until midnight and will continue in it's usual time, overnight Saturday.

Host and producer Jim Wilke delivers just the right mix of contemporary and classical jazz music while welcoming guests such as Ray Brown, Max Roach, Joe Henderson, Milt Henderson and many more. You'll also hear about upcoming tours, festivals, clubs and the best places to hear live jazz. "Jazz After Hours" was named one of the top syndicated jazz programs by "JazzTimes" and has been nominated twice for the Willis Conover Award.

Wilke is a 50-year veteran broadcaster whose radio programs have been aired nationally on PRI and NPR since 1983. His jazz programs have been heard internationally in Canada, Japan and Europe. Wilke is in demand as a jazz historian, having taught at Bellevue Community College and the Cornish College of the Arts for over 25 years. Not surprsingly, he is frequently called to emcee jazz events and lead pre-concert discussions. More information about the show or Jim Wilke at http://www.pri.org/jazz-after-hours.html
