Walter Cole, better known as the iconic Darcelle XV, was crowned the world's oldest working drag performer in 2016 by the Guinness Book of World Records. Off stage, Cole championed LGBTQ+ rights.
Several others were injured by the explosion at the R.M. Palmer Co. plant in West Reading, officials said. The cause of the blast about 60 miles northwest of Philadelphia was under investigation.
