U.S. Forces Enter Baghdad Amid Resistance

U.S. Army forces mount a limited attack into southern Baghdad, destroying Iraqi tanks while encountering pockets of fierce resistance. Officials at U.S. Central Command say the move was intended to deliver a message to the Iraqi regime that U.S. forces can enter the city at will.
