National Perspective on Homelessness: Matthew Doherty
Matthew Doherty is the Executive Director of the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness. He is responsible for the implementation of Opening Doors: Federal Strategic Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness. That effort includes the coordination of Federal homelessness policies and strategies among 19 Federal departments and agencies, plus partnerships with State and local communities, non-profits, and the private sector.

Feather Lei Maker: Patti Hanna Gomez
The art of the feather lei has been refined to its highest level in Hawaii, born in the pre-contact days when feather cloaks and kahili showed off the intricate design and spectacular coloration of the forest birds of the islands. The tradition has been kept alive, even after most of the forest birds have gone extinct, by Patti Hanna Gomez.

You can’t make a film without collaborators, and Bud Clifton, producer and director of an animated science fiction comedy called "Men vs Women: The Mother of All Battles," is looking for a few good men and women to complete his project. It’s essential that they be Maui-based, though, because Bud is a producer with a mission, and he joined the show via phone to tell us about it.
