Very soon we will know what kind of legislative session this was… in a week it will all be over. Meanwhile, conference committees are hammering out differences between House and Senate versions of bills before tonight's 6 pm deadline. Throughout the session we've checked in on the good government and democracy bills with Civil Beat Law Center Executive Director, Brian Black. He joined the show with an update of what's left.

Theodora Harrison

Theodora Harrison marked a solemn anniversary yesterday: April 30, the 40th anniversary of America’s chaotic exit from South Vietnam, the so-called “Fall of Saigon.”    She was then a nurse with the American Red Cross on the receiving end of the mass evacuation of children known as “Operation Babylift” in the weeks leading up to the final pullout.  An estimated 25-hundred children were relocated in that operation. Theodora Harrison is the former Executive Director of the Vietnam Women’s Memorial Project and a former Captain with the 359th Combat Support and 828th Evac Unit and she joined us in studio this morning.
