Bob Merce retired in 2007, and since then he has worked pro bono with other attorneys to help sick and dying inmates obtain compassionate release. He was deeply involved in the substantive drafting of HB 255 which is scheduled for hearing before the House Judiciary Committee this afternoon at 2.

Mark Bennet is a litigation partner at Starn, O’Toole, Marcus, and Fisher. From 2003-2010, he was Hawaii’s attorney general, and from 1982-1990, he was an Assistant United States Attorney in Washington, DC and Honolulu. Mark has successfully argued two cases before the United States Supreme Court.
