Marshall currently appears in the sitcom Murphy Brown as a feisty network executive. His new book is Garry Marshall Wake Me When It's Funny: How to Break into Show Business and Stay There (Adams Publishing). The book is a behind the scenes look into Hollywood. The book was co-written with his daughter Lori Marshall. The forward in the book was written by Marshall's sister Actress/Director Penny Marshall.
