As a film maker, Marshall directed Beaches, Overboard, Nothing in Common, The Flamingo Kid, Frankie and Johnny and Pretty Woman. Marshall currently appears in the sitcom Murphy Brown as a feisty network executive. His new book is Garry Marshall Wake Me When It's Funny: How to Break into Show Business and Stay There (Adams Publishing). The book is a behind the scenes look into Hollywood.
