Another major musician has lost their life to the coronavirus today. Adam Schlesinger was 52, and wrote music for TV, movies, and worked with many other artists, but may be best known as co-founder of the alternative group Fountains of Wayne, that had the early 2000’s hit, “https://youtu.be/dZLfasMPOU4">Stacy’s Mom”. Hospitalized with covid-19 this week, it was widely reported he passed away today due to the virus after being in intensive care and on a ventilator. The Grammy winner was a guest of mine in 2007, and told me about one of the highlights of his career – an opportunity to produce an album by classic rockers America - during a fun chat. We played a short clip today on the show, and here is the complete interview.
