For the upcoming membership drive in September, HPR2 has decided to play another listener game. This time we're asking you to vote for your three favorite genres of Classical Music. HPR is using the widest possible "definition" of genre, including everything from periods (like, Classical, Romantic) to specific smaller categories of music (like fugue, film music, musical theatre). I will be focusing on many possible "genres" for the rest of the month.
Voting is open now and closes on September 1. To vote, go to hawaiipublicradio.org and look in the uppr right corner for "What's Your Favorite Classical Genre?" Follow the directions!
Classical Pacific shares music curated by Louise King Lanzilotti from a Pacific perspective. Until September 1, the program will focus on varying genres, to help listeners to choose their favorites, to be unveiled during the next fund drive at the end of September.
