Several Oʻahu private schools reported receiving bomb threats via email Tuesday morning. The emails were identical and appeared to be sent from the same address.
Punahou, ʻIolani and Assets were among the schools that received threats, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports. The threats appeared to be the latest in a series of similar, automated messages sent to schools in other parts of the country.
None of the threats were sent to Hawaiʻi public schools.
The Honolulu Police Department has opened five cases of first-degree terroristic threatening. No arrests have been made.
