H?k?le‘a continues its sail around the world. She’s currently spending time in Wellington, New Zealand, the farthest south the voyaging canoe has ever gone. HPR’s Molly Solomon spoke with H?k?le‘a crew member and ‘?iwi TV photographer AinaPaikai, as part of our ongoing series H?k?le‘a: Voyage of Aloha.
Later this week, H?k?le‘a will sail through the Cook Straight to South Island. They’ll remain in New Zealand until April, when they plan to sail to Australia.
