The voyaging canoe H?k?le‘a recently spent time in Golden Bay, off the coast of South Island in New Zealand. That’s where they paid a special visit to a recently discovered artifact, an ancient canoe scientists believe is 600 years old. HPR’s Molly Solomon spoke with H?k?le‘a navigator Kalepa Baybayan, as part of our ongoing series H?k?le‘a: Voyage of Aloha.
