This week Helping Hand has an appropriate returning guest – the Hawai‘i Foodbank joins us in the studio for our Christmas afternoon together. They help a staggering one in five Hawai‘i residents with food, and it’s a privilege to learn about their services, and how we can support them, with Polly Kauahi, Vice President at the Hawai’i Foodbank.
Helping Hand appears on-air as a weekly feature during our local statewide broadcast of All Things Considered, Fridays during afternoon drive on HPR1 stations across Hawai’i, and here online. Each week, Helping Hand puts the spotlight on an organization, topic or event in the community that offers assistance to the disabled and other folks who are among the most vulnerable with local ATC Host Dave Lawrence.
