Vespers on the Lanai is a casual event combining great music with an opportunity for spiritual reflection; this FREE, family-friendly, music series happens every 2nd Friday. Featuring a different musical genre each month, interspersed briefly with poetry and contemplative readings, we’ll think broadly together and folks of all faiths (or no faith in particular) and all ages should feel welcome. This month we're thrilled to welcome back duo Kailua Moon: a romance between traditional Hawaiian Music and modern pop and Americana. Comprised of singer-songwriter Nani Edgar and slack-key guitarist Danny Carvalho, this modern Hawaiian duo is based in Kailua and has toured across the United States sharing Hawaiian music and culture. Their first single was nominated for Hawaiian Single Of The Year in the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards in 2019, and their debut album Back To Paradise earned them a nomination for Entertainer of the Year for the 2020 Awards.
