Kahala Mall hosts an Array of Family Friendly Events in October
Kahala Mall celebrates Halloween with trick-or-treating and costume contests and hosts Coffee with a Cop Day
WHAT: Kahala Mall announced their community events in October, which includes Coffee with a Cop Day. After a two-year hiatus, Kahala Mall is excited to bring back mall-wide trick or treating and its costume contest for the families in our community.
EVENT: Spooktacular Annual Halloween Costume Contest. Newborn to sixth graders can enter the Department of Parks & Recreation Waialae Complex 42nd annual costume contest. Check-in begins at 4:30 p.m., and contest begins at 5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28 at Center Court Stage.

>> National Take-Back Initiative: Turn in your unused or expired medication for safe, anonymous disposal on Oct. 29, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the former Macy’s Men’s Parking Lot, near Mall entrance on Kilauea Ave. The National Take-Back Initiative aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential abuse of medications. >> Halloween Mall-Wide Trick or Treating: After a two-year hiatus, Kahala Mall is bringing back safe, mall-wide trick or treating for the families in our community on Monday, Oct. 31, 4:30 to 6 p.m. DJ Kool E will be playing spooktacular music at Center Stage.
“We are overjoyed to welcome families back to the mall for our Halloween festivities for the first time since the pandemic,” said Ezy Paeste, the General Manager of Kahala Mall. “We’re also offering a fair for our Kupuna and an opportunity to meet and voice concerns with our neighborhood Honolulu Police Department police officers.”
