Artists Statement:

The photography lab at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa is maintained by volunteers aka Labbies. Consisting of students, alumni, and faculty from the photo program, Labbies donate their time to provide out-of-class lab access, Open Lab, to students enrolled in photography courses. This time also allows the opportunity for Labbies to work on their own projects. With full access to a traditional wet darkroom, film scanners, and archival pigment printers, Open Lab showcases the works of Labbies made during their time in the photo facilities at UH Mānoa.
