HONOLULU POETRY SLAM
Honolulu Poetry Slam is a monthly spoken word poetry competition. The Slam combines poetry and performance with Honolulu’s best poets. Each poet has three minutes to present their original poetry, to be scored by judges chosen from the audience. The top three poets go on to the final round to compete for bragging rights and a cash prize.

Each month’s Slam features fabulous guest visual and performance artists who dazzle with a range of talents. From singers and songwriters to flow artists and dancers, their performances complement the verbal artistry of the poets.

Musical awesomeness is provided by DJ WanderLust, a multitalented artist and educator, and the best damn DJ in poetry. And your host is Liam Skilling.

The Slam is held at the Slack Key Lounge in Hawaiian Brian’s at 1680 Kapiolani Blvd on the second floor. Validated parking, food, and drinks!
