Forest Bathing Under a Bodhi Tree

Forest Bathing Under a Bodhi Tree

Seven Sundays of free hourlong guided forest bathing sessions. An offering to our community in times such as these. Forest therapy is an evidence-based wellness practice involving mindful time with nature. Presented by Forest Bathing Hawaiʻi (forestbathinghi.com). Event registration and details at bit.ly/fbunderbodhi.

The Bodhi tree is also known as the Bo tree, its scientific name is Ficus religiosa (sacred fig). It was under such a tree that Prince Siddhartha Gautama, in the sixth century B.C., sat for 49 days (7 weeks) and achieved enlightenment (bodhi) to become The Buddha.
