Monthly Wages for Garment Workers in Bangladesh May Rise to $66

It’s been six years since Hawaii raised the state minimum wage. The current level of seven dollars and twenty five cents an hour matches the federal minimum wage. Both President Obama and Governor Abercrombie wanted to raise the minimum wage this year—neither was successful. One place where it looks like the minimum wage IS rising is Bangladesh. HPR’s Bill Dorman has more on that in today’s Asia Minute.
