Confusion over U.N.'s Darfur Genocide Ruling

In September 2004, former Secretary of State Colin Powell announced that genocide had been perpetrated against the people of Sudan's Darfur region. The United Nations has released a report that, while acknowledging widespread, targeted violence, nevertheless concludes that a genocide had not occurred. NPR's Ed Gordon explores the contradiction.
