This week on Helping Hand it’s the Hawaii Association of the Blind returning, the state affiliate of the American Council of the Blind, made up of members of the community who are blind, have vision disabilities and or are loved ones of or advocates for the blind. They advocate for and provide service to the blind on a number of levels, and there are many ways to support them.

This week on Helping Hand, it’s the Hawaii Association of the Blind, the state affiliate of the American Council of the Blind. They provide support, companionship, help to secure legislation that’s beneficial to those with blindness or vision disabilities, and provide resources to beneficial programs. Their HAB 2019 State Convention is this weekend at the Pagoda Hotel.
