It's May Day, aka Lei Day, here in the Islands. While our changed times don't allow us to mark the occassion in the ways we have traditionally, we are shouting out across the state with a big mahalo for everyone hanging tough during these trying times. For today's show, we celebrate acts of aloha and kindness on this Aloha Friday. We hear from listeners as they highlight the kindness shown for one another during this time. We're also joined by Ashley Maynard, a professor speciailizing in cultural psychology at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, who tell us what drives people during times of crisis.
