Long Distance Sailing Lands in Kauai Harbor

  According to Hawaii Business Magazine, nearly 15-thousand boats are registered across the state, which is the fewest for any state.

But despite the relatively small numbers, many a sailing adventure begins or ends on the shores of one of our islands.

That’s the case with a recent arrival to Kauai’s Hanalei Bay.

The 55-foot sloop just completed a journey of nearly four-thousand miles from Fiji.

And HPR contributing reporter Joe Day was on hand to meet the crew.
