We have been hearing more and more about the mental health needs of our community---- in particular our homeless community. There is little to show despite efforts to help those who may be a danger to themselves or others. We focus on the bills aimed to try and help the mentally ill on our streets through involuntary hospitalization or community treatment.
On today’s show, we take time to look at mental health and homelessness and efforts to help those who could be a danger to themselves or others. Joining us today are:
Lieutenant Governor Josh Green
Executive Director of the Institute for Human Services, Connie Mitchell
And we heard from Naomi-- whose loved one was out on the streets and who can share her family’s experience of dealing with legal red tape.
