Dean Mo

Dean Mo is Hawaiʻi Public Radio's Executive Assistant. He is a recipient of Poʻokela Award for Leading Male Actor of the Year and was previously honored with the John Chin Young Arts Scholarship, National Society of Arts & Letters Acting Award Hawaiʻi Chapter and KCACTF merits. 

He served as the Dean’s Assistant at Outreach College, University of Hawaiʻi Mānoa, and Artistic Director for PlayBuilders of Hawaiʻi Theatre Company. As a multicultural artist and educator, he worked for Alaska’s Last Frontier Theatre Festival, University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, and at the prestigious Camp Takajo in Maine. He was represented by Ryan Artists agency in Portland, OR.

Dean Mo is humbled to join HPR to carry on his predecessors’ legacy. He is here to mālama ‘āina.
