This week on Helping Hand we feature the unique clubhouses program ahead of a October 6 fundraiser at the Honolulu Country Club for the Waipahu location. HPR ATC Host Dave Lawrence welcomes back Psychosocial Rehabilitation/Case Management Service Coordinator at the Hawai`i Adult Mental Health Division of the Department of Health Kathleen Miriam, and new guests Waipahu Aloha Clubhouse senior staff member Employment Coordinator Norman Mison and clubhouse member there John Aleviado-Plunkett.
Helping Hand is a weekly feature on HPR1 during the afternoon drive statewide broadcast of NPR's All Things Considered and online here. Each Friday afternoon, Helping Hand puts the spotlight on an organization, topic or event that offers assistance to the disabled and others among the most vulnerable.
