This week Helping Hand welcomes back the Hawai‘i Parkinson’s Association to learn about an upcoming free event Saturday, March 19th at the Honolulu Elks Lodge, with an introduction to resources offered by the HPA, a health fair, speakers and a Q&A session with an expert panel that includes five neurologists. Kevin Lockette, President of the Hawai‘i Parkinson’s Association, spoke with HPR ATC Host Dave Lawrence about it.

The event is Saturday March 19 at the Honolulu Elk's Lodge 9 a.m. to noon and is free, featuring an introduction to the resources offered by HPA, a health fair, and a presentation from Keynote speaker Dr. Steve Blake, Faculty Nutritional Biochemist at Hawai'i Pacific Neuroscience Center. He will be speaking on neuro-protection & dietary regulation of dopamine production in Parkinson's disease. His talk will be followed by a Q&A session with an expert panel that includes five neurologists. More details here.
