All Things Considered lives up to it's name this week on HPR with special guest Rob Halford. The legendary vocalist and songwriter spoke with local afternoon host Dave Lawrence following the release of the new Judas Priest studio album, Redeemer of Souls. The British band has survived many trends and fads since their early 70’s beginning. Following Black Sabbath out of Birmingham, over four decades their music has won acclaim for a dual lead guitar approach, as well as the talents of their friendly vocalist and lyricist. While through the years the front man has crafted themes more typically associated with heavy metal, he’s also penned a musical journey filled with tales of redemption and spirituality. Exploring it, Rob spoke about the deeper meanings that often live within the songs of Judas Priest.
