Jazz Maui presents Sunset Jazz featuring vocalist Marie-Claire Giraud along with keyboardist Mark Johnstone, bassist Aston Yarbrough, and drummer Howie Rentzer. Sunset Jazz concert attendees must be 21 or older and have a valid photo ID. Marie-Claire Giraud is a soprano, jazz singer, musical theater singer, songwriter, composer, playwright, and actor. Born on the island of Dominica and raised in The Bronx, Marie-Claire started her operatic training in Rome, Italy. She has performed at the Barclays Center, Madison Square Garden, City Hall, Small’s Jazz Club, Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festivals, Cartagena Jazz Festival, Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall and Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater to name a few. Marie-Claire is a soprano who sings opera, jazz, musical theatre and is also a songwriter who made her Broadway debut starring in the Tennessee Williams one act play “Hello From Bertha” in 2022 . She is a Caribbean Heritage Award recipient, NAACP Image Award recipient for teaching inner city kids in her neighborhood of the South Bronx about the joys of classical music, received citations from the New York State Senate, City Hall, and the United Nations.

Every Sunday Sunset Jazz spotlights an all-star line-up of professional jazz musicians in the upstairs open-air pavilion and offers great live jazz music and sunset views. During the concerts, the chocolate factory features a carefully curated wine, spirits and beer list along with three flights of chocolate and beverage pairings for purchase. Some classic pairings such as ports and reds are offered along with others that are unexpected such as sake and tequila. Or, imbibers can create their own pairing with or without the assistance of experienced Chocolate Sommeliers. Nonalcoholic beverages are also available.
