The state Department of Health has declared tap water safe in two more zones of the Navy’s water distribution system serving Pearl Harbor.

The zones at Iroquois Point and the Hickam Housing Areas have been given the all-clear for drinking, cooking, and oral hygiene.

Iroquois Point is on land that was the former Barbers Point Naval Air Station, and now houses several civilian-operated neighborhoods.

The other zone includes the Hale Na Koa, Officer Field, and Onizuka Village communities, which provide housing for all branches of the military.

Four of the Navy’s 19 zones have yet to be given the green light for tap water use.

The Navy has released water data for the remaining zones.

"Pending validation of these results, DOH’s final review should take approximately seven days," the Navy said in a statement.
